Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Friday 26 Oct 2018 to Sunday 4 Nov 2018:

Much colder weather will establish itself across all parts by the end of Friday. The cold feel will be exacerbated by strong northerly winds, touching gale force in parts of the north and northeast. These will blow in plenty of showers, turning wintry, especially across the high ground of northern Britain, but perhaps to lower levels at times in the far north. Widespread overnight frost is likely, with icy stretches where showers have occurred. Then becoming drier from the northwest into the following week, although spells of rain could affect the east and southeast for a time, before a more generally changeable pattern develops as we move into November. Generally staying on the cold side with further overnight frost.

UK Outlook for Monday 5 Nov 2018 to Monday 19 Nov 2018:

The weather looks changeable and windy at times with bands of rain or showers, interspersed with drier, quieter spells. The wettest and windiest weather is most likely across parts of the north, with perhaps some snow at times over the mountains. Towards the middle of the month, there are signs that high pressure may become more dominant to the north, bringing more generally settled conditions here, but with a greater incidence of overnight frost and fog. Meanwhile, more changeable weather may remain dominant across the south, with some rain here at times, although with any milder spells being short-lived.
