    Showers or longer spells of rain for many this evening as well as some gusty winds in the west. Some heavy bursts are likely with perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. Becoming dry with clear spells overnight and staying mild. Minimum Temperature 5 °C.


    Plenty of sunshine developing during the morning and becoming pleasantly warm with light winds. Increasing amounts of cloud through the afternoon, but staying dry and bright with sunny spells. Maximum Temperature 20 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Cloudier with showers on Friday, these heavy in places through the afternoon. Mostly dry this weekend with warm sunny spells but a few showers are possible, mainly in the west.

    A band of rain, locally heavy and thundery with gusty winds, will move eastwards across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Heavy rain and thunderstorms moving northeastwards across England and Wales. Clearer weather following from the west later.


    Most parts dry with warm sunny spells, and feeling warm. Windy and cloudy in the far northwest with some rain at times.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Risk of some heavy, thundery rain across the far southeast on Friday. Otherwise showers mainly affecting northwestern areas, with sunny spells in between. Fewer showers from Saturday but feeling fresher.

    UK Outlook for Monday 23 May 2022 to Wednesday 1 Jun 2022:

    Into the start of next week, southern parts of the UK are likely staying mostly fine and dry with sunny intervals. Further north it is likely to be cloudier and breezier, particularly around coasts, with showers that could merge into some longer spells of rain. Cloud breaks will allow some sunshine at times. Winds mostly light with temperatures close to average, perhaps rather warm in the south. Into the later part of the period, rain or showers are possible, most likely in the north by this stage, where it will be breezy. Drier further south with lighter winds. Most areas becoming mainly dry into the start of June. Temperatures are likely to be above average across the south, and closer to normal further north.

    Early June mainly dry conditions are likely for most. Temperatures are likely to be close to or above average across the UK, with the warmer side in the south and perhaps closer to average further north. Into mid-June, the north of the UK may turn less settled, and temperatures trending closer to average. While conditions in the south may remain largely fine, and temperatures are likely to stay above average.
