    Remaining unsettled overnight with rain or showers, heavy at times. Winds easing somewhat, although with a continued risk of gale force winds in exposure and along western coasts. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.


    A windy, cloudy, morning with occasional showers. However, the winds will ease through the day with some bright and sunnier spells developing for the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    After a bright start, rain and cloud will spread eastward on Monday morning. Rain and cloud will clear on Tuesday with some further spells of rain expected on Wednesday.

    Storm Brian will bring strong or very strong winds across southern and western parts of the UK with gales or severe gales in exposure. Blustery showers, mainly in the west, could merge to give persistent periods of rain at times.


    Cloudy and windy, although the wind easing somewhat, with further outbreaks of rain or showers across northern and western parts of the UK. Staying driest in the southeast.


    Rain and cloud clearing eastwards to allow drier, brighter weather to develop. Showers in the west, which may be heavy at times, will gradually become lighter. Winds slowly becoming lighter.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Rain and cloud spreading across the UK on Monday. Sunniest in the east. A brighter day for the north on Tuesday. Further spells of rain expected on Wednesday.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 26 Oct 2017 to Saturday 4 Nov 2017:

    The north and northwest will be cloudy and windy on Thursday with rain at times, and rain may affect other western areas for a time on Friday. Elsewhere it will be a mostly dry end to the week, with southern and southeastern parts seeing the best of any sunshine, although some stubborn overnight fog patches are also possible here. Temperatures will generally be above average and it could become very warm in these sunnier areas. Thereafter the weather is generally expected to become less settled. The north and northwest should see the wettest and windiest of the weather though, with some drier spells expected to develop towards the southeast. Temperatures are most likely to start above normal, although could trend downwards through the period.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 5 Nov 2017 to Sunday 19 Nov 2017:

    There is an increasing chance that the weather will become more settled during this period, especially across southern parts of the British Isles. As a result frost and fog could become more likely. The north may continue to have more unsettled conditions though. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average, although probably below normal in some of the more settled spells, especially where any overnight fog proves slow to clear.
