Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 28 Oct 2020 to Friday 6 Nov 2020:

Unsettled conditions are expected to dominate for the rest of October, with blustery rain and showers interspersed with occasional sunny spells across the UK. Strong winds are also likely with a risk of gales at times. The wettest and windiest weather is most likely to be seen in the north and west of the UK whilst the best of any drier or brighter weather is likely to be across the south and east. A change to generally drier, more settled and perhaps milder conditions is expected for the start of November with any strong winds, showers or longer spells of rain most likely confined to northern areas. Elsewhere winds will probably become light. These more settled conditions bring an increased risk of overnight frost and fog, particularly across the south.

UK Outlook for Saturday 7 Nov 2020 to Saturday 21 Nov 2020:

For the remainder of November, it is likely to be a tale of 2 halves. The start of this period looks set to see high pressure dominate, bringing more settled than seen in recent times, particularly for the south with any wet and windy weather most likely to affect the north-west. Although confidence lowers toward the end of November, a return to unsettled autumnal weather is most likely, with showers or longer spells of rain and strong winds, interspersed with drier intervals. Overall, temperatures are anticipated to be at or below average for this time of year.
