Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 22 Jan 2018 to Wednesday 31 Jan 2018:

Mainly dry and bright on Monday, although cloudier for southwestern parts later on Monday leading to a risk of rain and strong winds in the southwest by Tuesday. The latter half of the working week will see some rather unsettled weather with a rain band moving eastward on Wednesday followed by showers. Showers are likely to turn wintry in the north of the UK. There will be milder temperatures in the south on Wednesday, otherwise this period sees temperatures around average with limited overnight frosts. There remains quite a lot of uncertainty as we head into late January but the UK is likely to see a mixture of short-lived spells of rain and showers, with snow possible for some, followed by periods of colder, drier weather. Temperatures fluctuating around average.

UK Outlook for Thursday 1 Feb 2018 to Thursday 15 Feb 2018:

There is low confidence in the UK's weather through the first half of February. However, it is likely to be characterised by a mixture of short-lived spells of unsettled weather interspersed by showery periods and longer periods of more settled and drier weather. The unsettled spells will bring cloud and rain to parts of the UK and the showery periods may give snow in the north, especially over high ground. During the settled spells, it is likely to be cold with overnight frost and fog. Temperatures during this period will fluctuate around the average for the time of year.
