High 52 north 18 west 1028 expected Irish Sea 1031 by same time. Low 63 north 03 east 1004 moving steadily south and losing its identity

West Northern Section

Southerly 5 or 6 at first in east, otherwise cyclonic 5 to 7, but gale 8 or severe gale 9 at first in far northwest, but becoming westerly or northwesterly 4 to 6 later in west. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle, fog patches at first in south, but sleet or snow in the far northwest, becoming fair later in west. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor at first in south and in far northwest, becoming good later in west. Light to moderate icing at first in far northwest.

East Central Section

Variable 3 or less at first in northeast, otherwise easterly or southeasterly veering southerly or southeasterly, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in west. Moderate or rough, occasionally slight in northeast. Fair, then occasional rain or drizzle in west. Good, occasionally moderate in west.

West Central Section

Southeasterly at first in east, otherwise cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 later in west. Moderate or rough becoming rough or very rough. Rain or drizzle, with fog patches at first in north, thundery showers in south. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor at first in north.

Denmark Strait

Cyclonic 5 to 7, but northeasterly gale 8 to storm 10 at first in southwest. Moderate or rough, occasionally slight at first in northeast. Sleet or snow, occasionally fair in east. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in east. Light to moderate icing near the ice edge with temperatures between ms03 and ms06.

North Iceland

Variable 2 to 4 at first in southeast and northwesterly 6 to gale 8 at first in north, otherwise southerly or southeasterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 in east. Rough at first in northeast, otherwise slight or moderate becoming moderate or rough. Fair, then rain, drizzle and snow spreading northeast, with fog banks developing later in central area to the northeast of Iceland. Good becoming moderate to very poor. Moderate or severe icing at first in north, with temperatures ms06 to ms10 and light icing later in far northwest with temperatures around ms02.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic 3 to 5 at first in northeast, otherwise northerly or northwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first in south, decreasing 4 to 6 in east, becoming variable 2 to 4 in west, then southerly 5 to 7 later in far west. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first. In east occasional rain then wintry showers, but in west fair with rain later in far west. Good, occasionally poor in east, becoming moderate or poor later in far west.

Severe gales expected in Denmark Strait and north Iceland, with gales expected in East Northern Section, West Northern Section, East Central Section and West Central Section.
