Developing Atlantic low moving very rapidly east-northeast, expected 52 north 13 west 1007 by that time. at 220000UTC, high 44 north 12 west 1036 expected 41 north 16 west 1036 by 230000UTC. New lows expected 66 north 34 west 984 and 44 north 40 west 1007 by same time. Developing low near 58 north 41 west expected 54 north 31 west 1010 by that time

Southeast Iceland

Cyclonic 6 to gale 8 becoming northeasterly 3 to 5, then westerly 6 later in west. High, becoming very rough later except in far east. Wintry showers. Moderate or poor.

East Northern Section

In north

Cyclonic 4 to 6, becoming westerly or northwesterly 6 to gale 8 later. Very high at first in far southeast, otherwise high becoming very rough. Sleet, snow or snow showers. Moderate to very poor.

In south

Westerly 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally storm 10 at first in east, veering northwesterly 5 to 7 later, decreasing 3 or 4 later in southwest. Very high becoming high, then becoming very rough later. Sleet, snow or squally snow showers. Poor or very poor, occasionally moderate later.

West Northern Section

Cyclonic, but mainly westerly or southwesterly, 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 at times. High at first in south and east, otherwise rough or very rough. Sleet, snow or snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing at times near ice edge, and also at first in far southwest.

East Central Section

In north

Westerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first in northeast, then decreasing 4 or 5 for a time, then veering northwesterly 4 to 6 later. High or very high, becoming very rough later. Sleet or snow showers then rain, then becoming fair later. Poor or very poor, occasionally moderate later.

In south

Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6 becoming cyclonic mainly southwesterly 6 to gale 8. Very rough or high. Rain or drizzle at times. Moderate or poor.

West Central Section

In south

Cyclonic 4 to 6 increasing 6 to gale 8. Very rough or high in east, rough or very rough in west. Rain, with sleet or snow at times in west. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor in west.

In north

Westerly or southwesterly 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 or severe gale 9 for a time in far north, then becoming variable 2 to 4 later, then southwesterly 5 or 6 later in far northwest. High becoming very rough, then becoming rough later. Snow showers, becoming fair later. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor at first, becoming good later. Light icing at first in far northwest.

Denmark Strait

Northerly 4 to 6 becoming variable 2 to 4, then becoming cyclonic 6 to gale 8. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair then snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light icing developing near ice edge, with temperatures ms02 to ms05.

North Iceland

Northerly or northwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in east, becoming variable 3 at times later in southwest. High at first in southeast, otherwise mainly rough or very rough, but becoming moderate or rough later in southwest. Snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing at times in east to the north of 69 north, with temperatures ms02 to ms05.

Norwegian Basin

Westerly or southwesterly veering northwesterly, 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times, then decreasing 4 or 5 later in west and south. High, becoming very rough or high. Squally sleet and snow showers, but becoming fair later in west and south. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Severe gales expected in Shannon, Rockall, East Central Section and West Central Section. Gales expected in Sole, Bailey, Faeroes, Southeast Iceland, East Northern Section, West Northern Section, Denmark Strait, north Iceland and Norwegian Basin.
