Fair at first in east, otherwise occasional rain, then squally showers, squally snow showers later. Good at first in east, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor at first and very poor later.

Denmark Strait

In area west of 34 west

Easterly or northeasterly 3 to 5, increasing 6 to gale 8, then gale 8 to storm 10 later. Slight or moderate, becoming rough or very rough later. Fair then rain sleet and snow. Good, becoming moderate to very poor. Occasional moderate icing expected with temperatures of around ms05.

In rest of area

Northeasterly 4 to 6 at first in south, otherwise variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6, increasing 7 or gale 8 later in far west and far south. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in south. Mainly fair, occasional rain, sleet and snow later in west. Good, becoming moderate to very poor later in west. Occasional light icing expected close to ice edge in far northeast and far southwest with temperatures of around ms03.

North Iceland

In southeast

Northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first, becoming variable 2 to 4 except in far southeast, then becoming southwesterly 4 to 6 later in north. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first. Rain at first in far southeast, otherwise snow showers. Good, occasionally poor.

In north and west

Variable 2 to 4 at first in southwest, otherwise southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 except in far south and far north. Moderate or rough. Snow showers, fair later. Good, occasionally poor until later. Light or moderate icing developing within 100 miles of the ice edge with temperatures of ms03 to ms06.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in west and far northeast. Moderate or rough, becoming moderate in east. Occasional rain or showers, fog patches at first in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, or very poor at first in northwest.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Storms expected in West Northern Section and Denmark Strait with a risk of storms in West Central Section. Severe gales expected in East Northern Section and East Central Section with gales in Sole, Shannon, Rockall, Southeast Iceland and north Iceland.
