Rattray Head to Berwick upon Tweed

Moderate or rough, but slight in shelter just south and east of shetland. Wintry showers. Good, occasionally poor.


Channel Islands - Strong wind warning

24 hour forecast: Southerly 5 to 7, perhaps locally gale 8 mid-channel, veering west to northwest 4 to 6 this evening and decreasing 3 to 4 overnight, then backing west to southwest mid-morning and increasing 5 in the northwest by midday. Slight to moderate with a low swell, but rather rough in the north and west till mid-evening, and locally rough mid-channel for a time around dusk. Rain and drizzle, heavy at times till evening mist and a risk of fog patches after dusk. Moderate locally good, becoming moderate to poor by mid-evening, perhaps very poor at times.

Outlook for the following 24 hours: West to southwest 3 to 5, backing southwest 5 to 6 by late evening, veering west to southwest after dawn, locally 7 by midday. Slight to moderate with a low swell, increasing moderate to rough after midnight and rather rough to rough before dawn.
