High pressure centred to the west of the United Kingdom will bring settled weather conditions to most areas during the next 24 hours, although there will be a little light rain or drizzle in places.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - Strong wind warning

24 hour forecast: Northwest 4 to 6 backing west 3 to 5, then backing southwest later in Moray Firth. Moderate or rough to the north and west of Orkney and smooth or slight in Moray Firth, but elsewhere slight or moderate. Drizzle at times later. Moderate or good, occasionally poor later in north.

Outlook for the following 24 hours: West or southwest 4 to 6, occasionally 3 at first, then increasing 6 to gale 8 later. To the west and north of Orkney, moderate or rough, becoming very rough later, elsewhere mainly slight or moderate, but smooth at first in Moray Firth. Drizzle at times, mainly in north, then rain later. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in north.


Rattray Head to Berwick upon Tweed

Channel Islands

24 hour forecast: Northeasterly 4 to 5, decreasing 3 to 4 towards midnight, becoming variable 1 to 3 in the south around dawn tomorrow. Slight to moderate, decreasing smooth or slight this evening. Risk of isolated light showers, risk of mist patches near the French coast around dawn. Good, perhaps locally moderate or poor.
