General situation

A ridge of high pressure will encroach from the west during the course of Monday. This will be followed by a warm front moving eastwards across northern areas on Tuesday, bringing spells of rain to Northern Ireland, Scotland, northwestern England and northwestern Wales.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney

24 hour forecast: Southwesterly 3 to 5, occasionally variable 2 at first in east, then backing southerly later. To the west and north of Orkney moderate, occasionally rough at first, but elsewhere smooth or slight. Showers. Good.

Outlook for the following 24 hours: South or southwest, backing southeast for a time, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 for a time near Cape Wrath and Rattray Head. Smooth or slight in Moray Firth, but elsewhere slight or moderate. Rain, then showers later. Good, occasionally poor.


Rattray Head to Berwick upon Tweed
