Using high-quality observations to study key physical processes within the atmosphere.
Aircraft-mounted instrumentation is used to study physical processes involving atmospheric aerosols, clouds, precipitation and atmospheric radiative transfer. The Meteorological Research Unit (MRU) studies turbulent and surface-exchange processes in the atmospheric boundary layer and also makes remote observations of cloud and aerosols.
