A variety of instruments are used at the measurement sites.

  • CRDS

The cavity ring-down spectrometer (CRDS) is used to measure carbon dioxide and methane.

  • GC-MD

The gas chromatograph-multi detector (GC-MD) is used to measure hydrogen, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide and sulphur hexafluoride.

  • GC-ECD

The gas chromatograph-electron capture detector (GC-ECD) is used to measure nitrous oxide and sulphur hexafluoride

  • Medusa-GCMS

The Medusa gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (Medusa-GCMS) can measure a wide range of trace gas species through the use of pre-concentration techniques
