We have a comprehensive range of weather data solutions to suit your needs
The UK experiences some of the most variable weather in the world.
We provide core weather data for a range of different purposes, from freely available public weather data to data tailored for specific industry sectors. Our data can help businesses plan major projects helping reduce risks and increase the efficiency of the task whether it be on land or at sea.
Our data can be split down into three main types:
DataPoint is the Met Office API (Application Programming Interface) providing our weather forecast and observation data. This service has been designed for application or website developers, the scientific community or any other member of the public who may wish to use meteorological data in an innovative way.
A large range of complex weather data for businesses in both the private and public sector. It is aimed at professionals such as weather broadcasters to produce value-added products and services.
Our commercial data is tailored for specific industry needs. For example, we can provide weather data for the energy industry to feed into their planning models to help balance energy supply and demand. We can also supply forecasts for specific operating sites with bespoke weather warnings/thresholds to help companies manage their operations effectively.
