Managing drought risk

For our water customers affected by drought we also offer relevant services such as demand forecasts and real-time assessments of rainfall, evaporation and soil moisture to show how weather may affect the water resource situation.

The Monthly Outlook also provides an essential planning tool to make informed decisions about managing water networks and better plan for drought risks. For a 30-day outlook specific to your region contact the water team on water@metoffice.gov.uk. You can also view the long-range outlook for contingency planners.
