Murrayfield

Murrayfield Stadium

Murrayfield has been the home of Scottish International Rugby Union since it opened in 1925.

Scotland has a good history in the 6 Nations tournament - winning it 14 times and sharing the Grand Slam title another eight times. However, since Italy joined the competition in 2000, Scotland has yet to take the title. In the 2012 series Scotland came bottom of the table, losing all five fixtures.

This year the Calcutta Cup match between Scotland and England will take place at Twickenham in round one of the tournament, and Scotland will hope to regain the title. England have owned the Calcutta Cup since 2009 when England beat Scotland. 2010 saw the team's draw 15-15, 2011 saw England beat Scotland 22-16 at Twickenham and in 2012 England beat Scotland 13-6 in the first weekend of the tournament.

Scotland have three home fixtures at Murrayfield in the 6 Nations this year. Check the Murrayfield weather forecast if you are travelling to watch any of the games.
