Murrayfield

Murrayfield Stadium

Murrayfield has been the home of Scottish International Rugby Union since it opened in 1925.

Having lost the Calcutta Cup to England in the 2012 Six Nations Scotland are yet to reclaim it, meaning Scotland will no doubt be looking to stop England winning the Cup for a fourth year in a row as part of the 2015 tournament.

Scotland have three home fixtures at Murrayfield in the 6 Nations this year, playing Wales, Italy and Ireland. Check the Murrayfield weather forecast if you are travelling to watch any of the games.

Scotland has a good history in the 6 Nations tournament - winning it 14 times and sharing the Grand Slam title another eight times. However, since Italy joined the competition in 2000, Scotland has yet to take the title. In the 2012 series Scotland came bottom of the table, losing all five fixtures, although with an improved performance in 2013 Scotland placed third. This year the Scottish team will surely be looking to further this success and move up the results table.
