Christmas Day

Christmas Scene

25 December

Will this year be a white Christmas? The last official white Christmas was in 2010, when snow was widespread across Northern Ireland, Scotland, parts of Wales, the Midlands, north-east and far south-west England.

Many people use Christmas Day as an opportunity to take in the picturesque winter landscape on long walks, either to burn off the Christmas lunch or to build up an appetite for it.

If it snows in your area, you can become a volunteer observer and record your snow observations on the snow map.

Check the weather forecast for your area over the festive period.
