Sheep at an agricultural event

The annual Great Yorkshire Show takes place between 8-10 July at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.

Organised and run by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society it is the largest agricultural show in England.

The three-day event highlights the best in farming and local produce, rewarding those top in their class.

Highlights of this year's County Show include:

  • Grand Parade of local and national livestock - rewarding best in class
  • Show jumping
  • The Sheep Show
  • The 20 ton Barber Steam Engine
  • The BBC's WW1 at Home Tour
  • A sculpture to recognise the Tour de France first stage finishing in Harrogate
  • Local food demonstrations including honey, cheese and a Tri-Nations butchery competition

Tens of thousands of visitors will pour in over the three days to soak up the atmosphere and to experience the best in agriculture.
