Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 25 Aug 2014 to Wednesday 3 Sep 2014:

Cloud and rain will spread eastwards during Monday, although possibly weakening as it does, with some northern and eastern parts perhaps staying dry for a time. Heavier bursts are likely in the west with stronger winds as well. Temperatures will generally be around normal, although it will be cool in the wind and rain. It then stays rather unsettled with scattered showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed with brighter spells. The wettest weather is likely to be in the northwest with stronger winds also likely at times, whilst the best of the drier and brighter interludes will be towards the southeast. It will stay cool in the wind and rain, although temperatures will be around normal and perhaps warmer at times during any drier spells and towards the southeast.

UK Outlook for Thursday 4 Sep 2014 to Thursday 18 Sep 2014:

Current signals continue to suggest a broadly changeable spell of weather. As such, most regions can expect to see spells of fine weather, with some warm sunshine at times. However, these spells will then be interspersed with more unsettled conditions bringing showery outbreaks and perhaps more prolonged spells of rain. Northern and western parts are then likely to see the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather, whilst southern and eastern parts are likely to see the most frequent and prolonged fine and dry spells. Daytime temperatures, meanwhile, are likely to be warm during the fine spells and near or below average during unsettled weather.
