Met Office view

High pressure to the northeast of the UK continues to dominate the weather, maintaining settled, dry sunny conditions for many. The wide spacing of the isobars (thin black lines) indicates that winds will be light. The winds will be from the east (wind moves clockwise around a high) and this will keep sea fog and low cloud from the North Sea close to northeastern coasts.
