Met Office view of 0000 UTC surface analysis

A ridge of high pressure extends across the UK from the northeast, bringing generally settled conditions. A trough lying over the far west of Ireland, indicates a line of organised and locally heavy showery rain. Winds are generally light, as indicated by the broadly spaced isobars.
