14 April 2011 - Our forecasters are predicting mainly dry and fine conditions as the London Marathon gets underway this Sunday.
Weather conditions are likely to suit both spectators and elite runners alike during the morning, with some sunshine and temperatures in the mid teens.
However, it is expected to warm up during the day with temperatures peaking in the high teens in the afternoon for fun runners.
Elsewhere around the UK, temperatures will be well above average through the weekend, reaching the mid to high teens in places. Scattered showers are possible in some central and western regions.
