A very warm spell for the time of year.
Outbreaks of rain will continue across western and some northern parts of Scotland, but clearing northwards. Otherwise, it is dry elsewhere with clear spells. A few fog patches forming across southern England. Not as chilly as previous nights.
Plenty of very warm sunshine once again across much of England and Wales, with temperatures well above average. Mostly dry for Northern Ireland and Scotland though generally cloudier here.
Gradually turning wetter and windier across the north and west on Thursday. Likely staying warm and dry in the southeast. Colder, wetter and windier for all on Friday and Saturday.
Updated:
It will likely remain rather changeable during the first part of this period with showers or occasional longer spells of rain affecting many areas. Whether this takes the form of successive weather systems pushing in from the Atlantic or a more slowly evolving weather pattern remains rather unclear. There may also be some drier and brighter interludes and when winds are light, it should feel quite warm, despite temperatures most likely being close to normal for most. Later in the month more blocked weather patterns become more likely, with high pressure in the vicinity of the UK. This increases the probability of more settled weather, especially in the north but there may still be periods of rain or showers, especially in the south.
Updated:
Blocked patterns with high pressure near to the UK will probably be dominant during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, especially in the south, where rainfall amounts could be above average. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
