Please be aware that by using any of these Networks you are bound by our Terms of Use, and for some networks, the terms of use of the operator of those networks. We reserve the right to monitor and log all internet activity for the purposes of both network diagnostics and for the investigation of malicious activity.

The Met Office Guest network is provided for visitors and operated by the Met Office. Please connect and follow the on-screen instructions to register.

eduroam

eduroam is an international roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. It provides researchers, teachers, and students easy and secure network access when visiting an institution other than their own.  You can eduroam at the following places

By using eduroam at the Met Office you are agreeing to our terms of use, as well as the eduroam conditions of use and the policies of your home institution. Please refer to your home intuition’s guidance initially for issues connecting. Once your association with your home institution ends you must remove the eduroam profile from your device.

The Met Office provide both a Home and Visited eduroam service, which is currently in testing. Please be aware we operate a transparent proxy for URL filtering purposes. We use WPA2 Enterprise with AES encryption.

GovWifi

GovWifi is a service delivered by the Government Digital Service (GDS). GovWifi allows staff and visitors in government organisations to connect and stay connected to a secure WiFi service whilst they move from building to building. By using GovWifi at the Met Office you are agreeing to our Terms of Use, as well as the GovWifi Terms and Conditions and the policies of your home department. The service is currently in testing and may not be consistently available in all locations.
