Calibration
Different calibration schemes are used for different instruments.
- CRDS
The cavity ring-down spectrometer (CRDS) is used to measure carbon dioxide and methane.
- GC-MD and GC-ECD
The gas chromatorgraph-electron capture detector (GC-ECD) is used to measure nitrous oxide and sulphur hexafluoride while the gas chromatograph-multi detector (GC-MD) also measures hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
- Medusa-GCMS
The Medusa gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (Medusa-GCMS) can measure a wide range of trace gas species through the use of pre-concentration techniques.
