These graphs are based on the HadUK-Grid dataset. These graphs show the monthly variation in temperature, rainfall or sunshine for any given year. The anomaly is the difference from, or percentage of, the 30-year average for the period 1961-1990 or 1991-2020, which is often of greater interest than absolute (actual) values. The 30-year standard reference periods follow World Meteorological Organization (WMO) guidance.
