Extreme weather reveals changing climate

Rainfall from extremely wet days: Total annual precipitation from falling on the wettest days, averaged over climatological reference periods. UK: 1961-1990 average 64.0 mm; 2008-2017 average 75.0 mm. Total rainfall from extremely wet days has increased by about 17%.
