Marine services

Supporting the marine industry from offshore wind energy, oil and gas, to shipping and ports. We can help reduce your exposure to uncertainty, giving you the information you need to make critical decisions that impact your business.

Our Safesee™ web-based platform presents global meteorological and oceanographic information. Providing detailed site-specific wind and wave information, essential for the safe and efficient planning of weather-sensitive operations.

Five-day site-specific forecasts

Site-specific forecast of wave and wind, enables the identification of weather opportunities for up-to five days ahead. Weather alerts trigger when thresholds have been breached, this highlights when there may be downtime due to weather conditions.

SafeVoyage provides global weather information to plan your vessel's route, moving of equipment and personnel safely and efficiently. It enables the identification of weather opportunities to minimise risks and keep project costs to a minimum.

Marine probability forecasts

Longer range site-specific forecasts are available out to 14 days, which include significant wave height and direction, swell period, and wind speed and direction.  This enables the identification of potential weather opportunities, minimising project costs by ensuring the maximum return in strategic planning.

2D spectral wave measurement

Accurately predict the impact of the seas on the motion of a vessel with our detailed description that includes direction and periods of all waves. This supports the utilisation of vessels by identifying optimum operating times. Safety can be improved through accurate assessment of wave impacts to minimise damage.

Scheduled routine telephone or on-site briefings are available to review the weather outlook and potential impact on your operations. The meteorologist will communicate the site-specific forecast and be able to discuss this with your team to support understanding and appropriate actions.

Offshore deployment

During times of weather sensitive operations, having a meteorologist available on-site supports decision making in marginal situations so that the most appropriate action is taken.

Our observation buoys capture real-time weather and marine data for offshore, coastal and inshore environments. Using this vital information helps select the best site and monitor weather conditions throughout operations.
