Heading to a festival this week? Here's what you can expect for the weather
As festival season kicks into high gear across the UK, revellers can expect a mixed bag of weather conditions, with warm temperatures, sunny spells, and the ever-present risk of showers.
Here's the latest forecast for some of the major events taking place this week.
Glastonbury Festival, Worthy Farm, Somerset (from 25 June)
Festivalgoers heading to Glastonbury can expect a varied but generally warm outlook. Wednesday brings sunny spells with highs of 24°C, though heavy showers may develop later. Thursday starts damp but should brighten, with increasing winds and a high of 22°C. Friday looks mostly cloudy, dry, and breezy at 24°C. Saturday remains warm and humid at 23°C, with showers possible but largely dry conditions expected. Sunday rounds off the weekend with humid air and sunny spells, peaking at 26°C.

Bristol Sounds, Canons Marsh Amphitheatre (from 25 June)
The week begins mostly dry with bright or sunny intervals on Wednesday and a high of 26°C. However, heavy and possibly thundery showers may develop later in the day. From Thursday through Saturday, conditions remain often cloudy with occasional sunny spells. Showers are possible, particularly on Saturday, but it will feel pleasant in any sunshine. Breezy conditions are also expected at times.
Stone Valley Midlands, Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire (from 27 June)
A changeable pattern is forecast for the duration of the festival. Thursday may see heavy and thundery showers, though these should ease. The remainder of the weekend will be breezy at times, with warm temperatures, especially during sunny spells in the afternoon.

Exile Music Festival, Sabine Hay, Derbyshire (from 27 June)
Similar to Stone Valley, Exile attendees should prepare for unsettled conditions. Thursday could bring heavy, thundery showers, but the outlook improves slightly into the weekend. Breezy intervals are expected, with warm temperatures prevailing, particularly when the sun breaks through.
Bury Folk Festival, Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds (28 June)
The weather remains unsettled throughout the festival period. Rain or showers are likely, with the potential for heavy and thundery bursts on Thursday. Despite the wet spells, temperatures will remain warm or very warm, and breezy conditions may develop.
While no festival is entirely free from the threat of rain, warm temperatures and occasional sunshine should provide welcome relief. Attendees are advised to come prepared for all conditions, pack waterproofs and sun cream alike, and keep an eye on local forecasts for the latest updates.
