Met Office daily weather for 26 July
Met Office daily weather, many places dry, but scattered showers around
Saturday will be a day of sunshine and showers, with temperatures down a little on Friday.
A band of cloud with patchy rain and drizzle will move east from Wales and southwest/central England into eastern and southeastern areas, breaking up into showers. A few of those showers could turn heavy, especially in eastern England, where an isolated thunderstorm is possible later in the day.
Elsewhere, most areas will see sunny spells, although it will be cloudier and breezier in the northwest, with a few showers ahead of more persistent rain arriving later. It will feel warm across the south and east, with top temperatures of 26°C.
On Saturday night, showers will linger in the east and southeast of England, and some could remain heavy into the evening, but they’ll gradually fade overnight. Elsewhere, skies will be clearer at first, but showers will pick up again in the west, becoming more frequent, with longer spells of rain likely for northwest Scotland.
