Festivalgoers heading to events across the UK this week can look forward to largely favourable conditions, with plenty of dry weather, sunny spells and temperatures close to or slightly above average for the time of year.
While a few showers are possible at times, particularly during the first part of the period and again into Sunday, many locations are expected to enjoy a predominantly dry and increasingly warm spell.
Boardmasters Festival
Those attending Boardmasters Festival in Newquay can expect a largely positive weather picture through the event period. Wednesday brings plenty of sunshine for many, although one or two showers are possible across Cornwall and Devon. A brisk westerly wind will develop, helping conditions feel fresher while temperatures remain pleasantly warm, reaching around 22°C.
A few showers are possible overnight, especially towards western parts of the region, before Thursday brings another largely dry day with sunny spells. Temperatures are expected to remain around average, once again reaching approximately 22°C.
Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, dry and bright weather is expected to continue, with temperatures gradually increasing. There is a risk of some showers developing on Sunday, but most places should remain dry and warm.
Bloodstock Festival
Visitors to Bloodstock Festival in Walton-on-Trent can also expect largely settled conditions. A few showers may be present first thing on Thursday morning, but these are expected to clear quickly, leaving a largely dry day with sunny spells developing. Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach around 21°C.
Friday and Saturday look particularly favourable for outdoor activities, with dry conditions and sunny spells. Temperatures will gradually rise through the weekend, although there is the possibility of some showery rain returning on Sunday.

Deva Fest and Rebellion Festival
A similar forecast is expected for both Deva Fest in Cheshire and Rebellion Festival in Blackpool. Any lingering rain on Thursday morning should steadily clear away, allowing brighter conditions to develop during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain close to seasonal norms, with highs around 20°C.
The outlook for both festivals remains encouraging. Friday and Saturday are expected to be largely dry with sunny intervals, and it will feel increasingly warm in any prolonged sunshine. There is a greater chance of rain returning on Sunday, although timing and coverage remain uncertain at this stage.
Houghton Festival and Secret Island Festival
Festivalgoers attending Houghton Festival in Norfolk and Secret Island Festival in Essex can expect some of the driest conditions in the country. Thursday is forecast to remain largely dry with spells of sunshine, although skies may at times appear somewhat hazy. Temperatures should reach around 23°C, close to average for early August.
Dry and bright weather is expected to continue through Friday and Saturday, with temperatures trending upwards as the weekend progresses. While there is a small chance of a few showers on Sunday, most attendees are likely to experience another warm and predominantly dry day.
