Pollen levels are expected to remain generally low across the UK over the next five days as we move further towards the end of the summer pollen season.
Showery and unsettled conditions across many areas are likely to help suppress pollen concentrations, while cooler and more changeable weather becomes increasingly established. Pollen levels are forecast to be low across almost all regions of the UK on Thursday, including Scotland, northern England, the Midlands, Wales, southern England and the southwest. The exception is Northern Ireland, where moderate weed pollen levels are expected.
Through Friday, low pollen levels are expected throughout the UK. This includes Orkney & Shetland, the Highlands, Grampian, Central Scotland, Strathclyde, southern Scotland, northern England, the Midlands, Wales, the east of England, London and the southeast and southwest England and Northern Ireland. A predominantly low pollen forecast continues nationwide on Saturday. Across Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England, Yorkshire and Humber, the Midlands, Wales and southern areas of England, all pollen species are expected to remain at low levels.
Sunday will see low pollen levels once again across all regions. While there may be some brighter intervals between spells of unsettled weather, pollen concentrations are likely to remain suppressed, with all regions forecast to stay in the low category. By Monday, low pollen levels remain the forecast across the entire UK.
