As England celebrates the Lionesses’ historic second consecutive UEFA Women’s EURO title, thousands of fans are expected to line the streets of central London for a jubilant open-top bus parade.

The event will begin at 12:10pm on Tuesday 29 July, with the team travelling along The Mall before arriving at Buckingham Palace for a staged ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial around 12:30pm.

Entertainment will be provided by the Royal Marines Portsmouth Band and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, with highlights from the tournament displayed on large screens. England manager Sarina Wiegman will then lead the team on stage to lift the trophy, marking the climax of the day’s celebrations.

Weather conditions

The forecast for the Lionesses’ victory parade suggests a settled afternoon. While early cloud is still likely, the afternoon is shaping up to be bright with a mix of sunny spells and patchy cloud. Although there remains a slight risk of a shower, the chance of rain during the parade itself has diminished significantly, and it’s now looking likely that the event will stay dry.

Temperatures are also expected to be warm, with highs reaching 23-24°C as the sun breaks through in the afternoon. Winds will be light and visibility good, providing a pleasant and comfortable backdrop for the celebrations.

Advice for attendees

Those planning to attend are advised to prepare for mixed conditions. While the day may start bright, the likelihood of rain increases around midday. Waterproof clothing or umbrellas are recommended, though fans should also be mindful of others in crowded areas. With temperatures reaching the twenties, staying hydrated and dressing in light layers will help ensure comfort.

Despite the possibility of showers, the Lionesses’ victory parade promises to be a memorable occasion. Fans are encouraged to come prepared for changing weather and to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot. With music, celebration, and national pride on full display, the weather is unlikely to dampen the spirit of this historic day.
