UK Outlook for Monday 1 Oct 2018 to Wednesday 10 Oct 2018:
On Monday Wales and South England may start cloudy with some patchy drizzle, but brightening up in the afternoon. Elsewhere sunny spells with showers, perhaps heavy, extending down North Sea coastal areas. Through the rest of the week southern parts should see a lot of dry and bright weather with some morning fog patches, while elsewhere it will be cloudier, with spells of rain affecting the north interspersed by brighter showery conditions. Often windy in the north, with a risk of gales in exposed areas. Temperatures will be close to or a little below normal, with some chilly nights particularly in the south where there's a risk of some frosts. Into the second week of October there is likely to be a gradual change to more generally changeable conditions.
UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Oct 2018 to Thursday 25 Oct 2018:
Although the start of this period may begin with some dry and fine weather, there's an increasing trend towards much more unsettled conditions becoming established. Whilst there remains considerable uncertainty in the forecast, there is a greater chance of spells of wet and windy weather from mid October onwards, with the rain possibly turning to snow at times over the highest ground in the north. There should still be some spells of dry and fine weather, especially at first, but these will bring some locally frosty nights and morning fog. Temperatures will be generally colder than average, but with some milder interludes at times.
