UK long range weather forecast

A wet start to the period on Sunday with showers, sometimes heavy in the west and risk of thunderstorms in the northwest. Turning windier again with a chance of coastal gales in the west and northwest. Becoming more settled early in the week, especially in the west. Initially cold, with chance of overnight rural frost, and showers wintry over highest ground. Temperatures trending upwards through the period.
