A cloudy start as a band of rain slowly clears southeastwards. Turning brighter across northern parts of Devon and Cornwall later. Winds easing and temperatures a little above average. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Variable cloud on Monday with outbreaks of rain at times. Drier and brighter on Tuesday and Wednesday with sunny intervals. Breezy at times, and temperatures returning closer to average.

Winds generally light to start, but possibility of stronger winds in the far northwest. More changeable and unsettled weather is likely to continue into the weekend with the wettest conditions in the northwest, drier in the southeast. Temperatures likely to be above average overall, perhaps very warm at times in the south, though some cool nights and chance of early fog.
