Bright with widespread sunny spells. Largely dry, although a few isolated showers are likely to develop particularly across the southwest of the region. Breezy, but feeling rather warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Any showers fading with skies remaining largely clear overnight. Cloud will arrive across some western parts by dawn. Winds easing, but remaining blustery by the south coast. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday:

A dry and bright start with long sunny spells. Scattered showers breaking out widely by the afternoon, perhaps merging into longer spells of rain. Drier later with skies clearing. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Fine and dry with sunny spells Tuesday. Cloudier Wednesday with scattered showers. More unsettled Thursday with showery rain, perhaps turning heavy and thundery at times. Warm with mostly light winds.

Sunny spells for many with a few showers at the end of June and beginning of July, there is a low risk of heavy, and possibly thundery showers associated with these in the south and east of the UK. Winds are expected to be moderate or strong at times, especially in the northwest and near heavy showers. The unsettled conditions are likely to be confined to the north of the country through the later part of the period, perhaps bringing longer spells of rain to these areas. Southern areas likely staying drier, although with the risk of showers remaining. Temperatures are expected to be near normal, locally warm in parts of the east and southeast.

Updated:

There is a good chance of more settled conditions prevailing through the middle and later part of July, although some northern areas may see spells of rain or showers at times, especially early in the period. These spells could extend across the country at times, but in general the south will see the best of the settled conditions. Temperatures are likely to be close to or a little above average initially but trending towards warmer conditions later, especially across the south.
