Many places will remain dry with sunny spells, although southern areas will become cloudier. Breezy. Temperatures close to or slightly above average. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Becoming dry with clear spells for most places. Overnight cloud will increase from the southwest, possibly bringing patchy rain later to the southwest of the region. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Northeastern areas may start dry and bright, but outbreaks of locally heavy rain will move across most areas, perhaps not reaching the far north. Later the rain gradually dies away. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday mainly dry and bright. Tuesday windy, mainly dry and cloudy. Wednesday a band of rain, locally heavy, gradually moves across the region. Becoming mild or very mild.

Winds moderate to fresh, and temperatures trending slightly above average. Unsettled weather continues for many, with showers affecting northern areas and likely to spread southwards. Temperatures turning normal or cool, and becoming windier with gales possible in places. Confidence remains low throughout the rest of this period. High pressure may develop across the UK, with likely occasional frontal systems bringing periods of rain. However, towards the end of the period, deep lower pressure may be expected, with temperatures generally returning to above normal, however, cooler nights make way for potential mist and fog.
