Mostly dry though cloudy, with some drizzle at times. Mild.

This Evening and Tonight:

Dry this evening with the odd spots of rain and drizzle over high ground possible in the far southwest. Low cloud building across the south, especially in coastal areas. Very mild. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday:

Low cloud breaking through the morning to leave some bright spells, before cloud builds from the northwest with patchy rain through the afternoon. Turning windier and cooler into the evening. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunny spells and occasional showers on Sunday. Showers becoming more widespread and heavier on Monday. The odd shower on Tuesday, but with sunny spells also. Cooler than of late. Breezy.

UK long range weather forecast

Winds from the north or northwest are expected to affect the UK at the start of this period. Some showers or longer spells of rain are likely at times, these heaviest across the north and northwest. Conversely, many parts of the the south and southeast are likely to remain mainly dry. Temperatures are expected to mostly be below normal. Through the latter part of this period a build of pressure will probably occur, meaning more in the way of dry weather across the UK as a whole. Some rain is still possible at times, if this develops it is more likely to affect the northwest. Temperatures will probably return to closer to normal, perhaps slightly above in places.

Updated:

Towards the end of April, high pressure will probably be close to the UK with a good deal of dry weather for many areas. Moving into May, these settled conditions will probably move northwards, with the driest weather across the northwest of the UK. If any more unsettled conditions develop these are more likely to affect south with a risk of some heavy rain or showers. Temperatures will probably be close to average overall, with warm days but some colder nights.
