Some rain around this morning, this mostly dying out by the end of the morning. This afternoon will be cloudy and mostly dry, some patchy rain across western Tayside and the Trossachs. A mild day, blustery winds in the west. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy this evening with some patchy rain. Drier and somewhat clearer will spread from the west by midnight with the rest of the night staying dry. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday:

After a dry start thickening cloud and some patchy light rain will spread northeast in the morning, becoming dry through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Rain for a time on Saturday followed by drier, clearer weather to end the day. Dry, bright on Sunday. Dry and rather cloudy on Monday.

Overnight a band of cloud and rain to the north and northwest will sink southeast, easing as it progresses, with a very small chance of some patchy snow across parts of central UK. Risk of showers into northwest, possibly wintry, accompanied by strong to gale force winds. Chilly overnight, with temperatures by day generally around average. Thereafter, high pressure is expected to dominate the UK, with largely fine conditions, especially towards southeastern areas. More changeable in the northwest with periods of stronger winds and rain. Frosts possible overnight. Rather cold to average by day. There is a small and possibly diminishing chance of much colder conditions for a time across the south.
