UK long range weather forecast

The start of this period will maintain predominantly settled conditions, with plenty of fine, dry weather and the best of the sunshine in the west. Cloudier conditions, with occasional patches of drizzle are possible, where onshore winds persist, in northern and eastern areas. Through the rest of this period, high pressure is expected to dominate in the north, meaning the mostly dry weather should continue. Meanwhile, lower pressure looks to develops to the south of the UK, bringing an increasing risk of rain, showers or thunderstorms to southern areas at times. Brisk winds in the south and near some eastern coasts at first should ease, meaning it should feel a little warmer here compared to many recent days, otherwise temperatures generally look to be near or above average throughout.

Updated:

During the period, the confidence is low. High pressure, with settled conditions is expected to dominate in the north, though low pressure, with unsettled conditions are possible in the south at times. This will bring a risk of thundery showers or rain in southern areas, whilst drier conditions are more likely in the north. Temperatures overall will be near or above normal throughout the period.
