Wales weather forecast

Headline:

Cloud and outbreaks of rain moving eastwards overnight. Breezy.

This Evening and Tonight:

A band of cloud and outbreaks of rain, locally heavy, moves eastwards this evening, gradually easing as it does so overnight. Becoming drier from the west by dawn, although staying rather misty and murky, especially on coasts and hills. Breezy. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday:

Early low cloud and mist clearing to leave a mostly fine day, with warm sunny spells developing, especially in the south and east. Turning murky along western coasts later. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

After a murky start, largely fine and dry with sunny spells Sunday. Mostly fine and dry, with bright or sunny spells Monday and Tuesday. Feeling warmer and humid too.

Updated:

UK long range weather forecast

Probably warm across the south especially at first. However, there is quite a large amount of uncertainty in how long this warm, settled weather will persist over the UK and it now seems very likely that that conditions will transition back closer to average towards the end of next week. This transition brings with it the risk of some showers or longer periods of rain from as early as next Wednesday, and potentially some thunderstorms too, particularly in the south but with many areas at risk. these more unsettled conditions could last through to the end of next week. However, the remainder of the period is more likely to be settled, especially across southern areas with temperatures slightly above average.

Updated:

Signals for this period are fairly weak and thus, it's difficult to say if any one type of weather pattern will dominate. As such, typical conditions for the UK are most probable with a mixture of weather types. All areas can expected to see some spells of drier, sunnier weather, but there will also be showers or longer spells of rain at times. Currently the only signals, weak as they are, hint that rain and showers will tend to be more biased towards the north and west, with any more prolonged drier interludes favouring the south. Temperatures are slightly more likely than normal to be above average, than below.
