Mostly dry if rather cloudy for the first half of the night. Becoming windier as a band of rain arrives from the north later in the night. Some clear spells returning to northern counties by dawn. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Early rain soon clearing the south coast, leaving a day of sunny spells and scattered blustery showers. Feeling cooler in the brisk northwesterly wind. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying on the cool side through the middle part of the week, with occasional rain or showers, but also some clearer, drier interludes. Winds easing, with chilly nights likely.
