Tonight:

Remaining largely cloudy with some patchy light rain and drizzle continuing through the night, mainly over the hills. Staying murky with mist and coastal fog patches. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday:

Staying cloudy with rain, heavy at times, moving through the country during the morning. Turning drier for most during the afternoon. Rather windy with local coastal gales in the northwest. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunshine and showers on Thursday. Unsettled on Friday and Saturday with further outbreaks of rain. Often windy though becoming much milder and feeling rather warm in any sunshine.

Updated:

UK long range weather forecast

Cloudy for most with showers on Saturday, possibly merging into longer periods of rain. The best of any brightness is likely to be in the southwest but here too there will likely be showers, perhaps heavy with a risk of thunder. Winds light to moderate, perhaps strong in the far north and around some coasts in the southwest. As we move further into April we are likely to see a gradual trend toward more settled conditions with perhaps the greater chance of drier conditions across the north, albeit with some overnight frost. Further south, there is a higher likelihood of further wet weather at times. Overall, temperatures probably averaging out to be close to normal.

Updated:

Likely a continuation of the trend toward more settled conditions, with rain-bearing weather systems more likely to affect southern areas from time to time. However, most areas are likely to see some spells of dry weather, with potential for frost and some fog overnight, this most likely in the north. A possibility of strong winds at times, with temperatures generally close to average for the time of year.
