Mainly dry and cloudy on Monday morning, the cloud slowly breaking to become largely sunny by the afternoon. A few showers in the north. Feeling warm and rather humid, though slightly cooler along West and East Sussex coasts. Occasionally breezy. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Plenty of warm sunshine through the evening, then dry and clear for most overnight. Perhaps the odd shower across Kent. Some low cloud and fog patches developing by dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Tuesday:

Largely dry with sunny spells and light winds. Very warm, especially inland. Feeling slightly fresher along the south coast with a gentle onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Fine, bright and warm on Wednesday. Heavy, occasionally thundery showers overnight, then largely sunny and rather warm Thursday. A bright start to Friday. An increasing risk of thundery showers later.

Elsewhere, plenty of fine and dry weather, although there is a risk of some thicker cloud and showers, perhaps thundery, pushing into the far south and southwest. Rather windy at first in the northwest. Changeable and unsettled weather likely to continue into the start of the following week. More settled patterns and overall drier conditions probable towards the end of the month. Still some showers or longer spells of rain in places, but probably a reasonable amount of fine, dry weather. Temperatures looking to be near average for most throughout, although some warmer spells are possible at times.
