UK long range weather forecast

The period is expected to begin with a cool west to northwesterly flow, with sunshine and showers, these most frequent in the northwest with drier conditions elsewhere. Winds are likely to gradually turn southwesterly, with a settled interlude (a small chance this could develop into a prolonged settled spell), most likely deteriorating into further periods of changeable or even unsettled weather by the weekend of the 7th and 8th. Towards the end of this period, signals show a potential trend towards drier weather in the north, and wetter conditions in the south, although precisely when is, typically for the forecast range, very low confidence. Temperatures likely to be above average overall, perhaps very warm at times in the south, though some cool nights and chance of early fog.

Updated:

A slowly evolving weather pattern is considered more likely through this period, though with a typical mix of settled and unsettled spells of weather. Within the more settled periods it is possible that northern parts will receive below average rainfall, with the south possibly receiving above average rainfall. Temperatures are more likely to be above average than below average overall, but with chilly nights in settled conditions.
