Today:

Overnight low cloud in the southeast soon burning off through the morning, to leave dry conditions and plenty of sunshine across the region. Feeling warm inland, particularly in the southwest. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Late sunshine across the region this evening but low cloud pushing in from the east overnight, with some misty conditions. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Wednesday:

A cloudy start to the day in the east tomorrow but improving to prolonged sunny spells through the morning. Feeling warm. Clouding over again in the east late evening. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Remaining dry with plenty of sunshine over the coming days, overnight low cloud in the east burning off through the mornings. Mostly warm, but cooler in the east later.

Settled conditions are likely to dominate throughout this period with plenty of dry and bright weather across the country, with the best of the sunshine expected across the west. Some low cloud is likely in eastern areas each day, but this will tend to burn back towards the North Sea coastline during the day. There is the very small risk of a shower in the south, and isolated patchy drizzle along eastern coasts. Temperatures will continue to be warmest towards the west, with an onshore wind making it feel cooler in eastern areas, especially the southeast where winds will be strongest. Towards the end of this period, the chance of showers in the south may start to increase. Further north, the generally fine pattern is likely to continue.

Updated:

Into the second half of June, there is an increasing risk of rain or showers, perhaps thundery, affecting southern parts, while northern areas are more likely to stay predominantly dry. Temperatures are likely to be near or above average for many, however, the east may continue to see suppressed temperatures at times with an onshore flow. This flow may reduce at times which would see a recovery in temperatures in the east. Overall, winds are likely to be lighter towards the north, and slightly stronger towards the south.
