Remaining cloudy with further showery rain through the evening, heavy at first in the west. Staying mainly dry towards the East Coast. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday:

Showers soon clearing then mainly dry with bright spells. Cloud increasing in afternoon to bring the odd shower, wintry on the hills. Feeling generally cold but pleasant in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A frosty start then dry and sunny on Monday. Outbreaks of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, heaviest across western hills. Turning milder.

On Wednesday, outbreaks of rain for many, moving northeast, the heaviest of which likely in the northwest and perhaps snow in the northern hills. Becoming windy with a risk of gales for some western coasts. Remaining unsettled thought the start of April at first, with showers and longer spells of rain likely. Southern and eastern areas are likely to be drier, although a chance of showers or spells of rain remain likely here. Strong winds are probable, with a low risk of gales mainly across western parts. Into early April, more settled conditions and drier interludes become increasingly likely, although a chance of wetter weather tending toward the south. Temperatures are generally above average, though colder conditions remain possible in the far north and northeast at first.

A general trend to less unsettled conditions is likely into April. Still some wetter weather at times, tending towards the south. However, most areas are likely to see some spells of dry weather, with potentially frost and some fog overnight. The chance of strong winds is likely near to normal, with temperatures generally close to average for the time of year.
