Generally dry with bright or sunny spells, especially for northern areas. Across the south thicker cloud may produce some patchy rain during the morning. Feeling warm. Lighter winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Sunny spells Monday. Tuesday windy and cloudy but mainly dry. Rain arriving from the west overnight, locally heavy Wednesday. Rain clears late on with showers following. Mild or very mild.

A north/south split in weather conditions is likely over the latter part of next week, with rain and showers affecting the north, while the south holds on to drier weather. It may be windy at times, especially across the north and northwest, where gales are possible. Temperatures close to normal in the north and feeling rather mild in the south. Unsettled weather continues for many into the following week, with showers in northern areas likely to spread southwards. High pressure may develop across the UK throughout the rest of the period, with occasional frontal systems bringing some periods of rain. However, towards the end of the period, deep lower pressure is expected. Temperatures generally returning to above normal, however, cooler nights could make way for potential mist and fog.
