Tonight:

A dry and largely clear evening. Becoming increasingly cloudy later in the night and breezy over hills, perhaps leading to patchy low cloud over the highest summits by dawn. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday:

Generally cloudy but bright and dry. Breezy over hills but less so elsewhere. Warmer than Friday, feeling very pleasant. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Wet in the west, the rain tentatively spreading east on Sunday. Sunny with early mist and fog on Monday, cloudier later. Rather cloudy on Tuesday, some drizzle in the west.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain are expected to affect some northern areas for a time on Tuesday, with dry and sunny conditions further south. Through the rest of next week high pressure will become more dominant, with dry and often sunny conditions spreading across the majority of the UK. Winds could be fairly strong at times in the south, with some overnight mist and fog in parts of the north. Temperatures during the day will likely be above average in many areas, although some cold nights are possible in places. A similar pattern will probably persist through the following week, although by late September there is a chance that more unsettled conditions may begin to develop.

Typical Autumn weather will probably affect the UK with a mix of weather types during late September and early October. Periods of wet, unsettled weather will likely be broken up by some spells of more settled, drier weather. Overall, the wettest conditions will probably be in the west with the east drier. Temperatures are most likely to be close to or slightly above average.
