Early showers dying out to leave a bright day Wednesday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Some late sunshine for Fife before an area of rain spreads from the southwest by late evening, this clears north overnight. Bright spells and scattered showers around dawn, showers mainly confined to the west, becoming breezier too. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday:

Most staying dry with bright and sunny spells, however cloudier in the west with occasional sharp showers. Band of rain crossing from the southwest overnight. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Showers and sunny spells. Best of sunshine around Fife coast during Thursday and Saturday. Showers focused across Stirlingshire and western Perthshire, turning heavy at times.

UK long range weather forecast

On Sunday and into the start of next week, southern parts of the UK likely staying mostly fine and dry with light winds. Still a chance of showers, and a low risk that some of these will be heavy at times. Further north it is likely to be cloudier and breezier, particularly around coasts, with showers that could merge into some longer spells of rain. Temperatures close to average, but perhaps below average in the northwest, though it will still feel warm in the sunshine. Towards the end of next week, rain or showers are possible, most likely in the northeast by this stage, where it will be breezy. Drier further southwest with lighter winds. Most areas becoming mainly dry through the end of May.

Into June, temperatures are likely to be above average across the south but closer to average further north. Toward mid-June it may turn less settled across the north of the UK, bringing rain or showers, while the south may remain largely fine.
