Cloud thickening and lowering bringing patchy rain to the far west by late morning, then the rest of area during the afternoon. Southerly winds strengthening, particularly around coasts. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

A wet and windy night in the west, drier for much of Fife and eastern Tayside, however rain reaching all areas by dawn and a blustery start to the Tuesday. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

A wet and windy start but soon brightening up and winds easing with some sunny periods by late morning. Feeling quite pleasant in the sunshine later. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

An Autumnal theme with wet and windy conditions on Wednesday, possibly very windy around the coast. Turning cooler with blustery showers for the end of the week.
